Content Navigator

By default, when you open a Microsoft Office document in Content Navigator with the Daeja ViewONE virtual viewer, you will receive an error that this document cannot be rendered. This may be because you have not enabled the feature. To do so, you will need the DaejaViewONEEntitlementTool-v1.0.2 provided by Fix Central.

Go to IBM Fixcentral an download the tool.

  1. Log in to Fix Central.
  2. From the Product Group list, select Enterprise Content Manager.
  3. From the Select from Enterprise Content Manager list, select any IBM Daeja ViewONE edition.
  4. From the Installed Version list, select All.
  5. From the Platform list, select All and then click Continue.
  6. Select Browse for fixes and click Continue.
  7. On the Select fixes page, select DaejaViewONEEntitlementTool and click Continue to download the software.

Once you have the tool downloaded and unpacked the tool run it with the following parameters:

in=PATH to the lic-server.v1 and lic-server-virtual.v1 file. By default these files are located under <WASHOME>\profiles\<PROFILENAME>\installedApps\<CELLNAME>\navigator.ear\navigator.war\WEB-INF

e.g.: /opt/IBM/WebSphere/AppServer/profiles/AppSrv01/installedApps/p8ceNode01Cell/navigator.ear/navigator.war/WEB-INF/lic-server.v1

Now restart your Content Navigator server instance and you will be able to open Office files in Daeja Viewone.
